Top Three Festivals for Fall

Make your fall travel interesting! Festivals are a great way to have a unique and memorable travel experience, and we think fall festivals are some of the best. Here are our top three festivals you’ll want to travel for this fall:

1.      Oktoberfest

Well known in name and reputation, Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival and fair. It’s estimated that more than 6 million people travel to Oktoberfest annually. Held in Munich, Germany, Oktoberfest begins its 184th year of celebrations on September 16. This unique festival dates back to 1810 and began in honor of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese von Schasen-Hildburghausen’s wedding. Oktoberfest is known for its celebration of Bavarian culture, including traditional foods and brews. Travelers can enter the Oktoberfest free of charge, as no entrance fee is required. You will, however, want to make reservations for your choice of Oktoberfest’s 14 beer tents well in advance, or be prepared to line up early to get a seat. You can catch Oktoberfest until October 3.
